Who's behind this, and why it exists.
What Groundwork is
Groundwork started as a simple idea: small local businesses need decent websites, and most of them either don't have one or are stuck with something dated. So we build one first, from their Google listing, photos and reviews, and send them the link. If they like it, it goes live and we run it: hosting, changes, and, once they add us as a manager, their Google Business Profile, for one price a month.
Who's behind it
Groundwork is built and operated by David Hess, through Groundwork Web Services LLC, a registered Michigan limited liability company. It's a small, real operation - not a large team, not a fund-backed startup. Every generated site goes through the same anti-fabrication checks: no invented reviews, no fake pricing, no stock photos passed off as a business's own.
What we won't claim
We'd rather say less than overstate it. You won't find inflated customer counts or revenue claims on this site - if a number is published here, it's real and current as of the date it was posted. Finding businesses, building sites and keeping them running all take real, unglamorous effort; nothing here is a shortcut around that.
